In the event of a natural disaster here in Nashville we have started storing food and supplies in tubs we can just grab and run. The fires in California and the floods in the mid west have driven this thought to the forefront. We bought a portable power source that will last several hours if needed, it is charged and ready to roll. In our tubs we have placed Spam and other canned meats and staples to get us by for six weeks is what we are aiming for.
What a show Tiger Woods put on Monday to win the US Open Golf tournament. On a bad leg too, that will require more surgery and put him out for the rest of the year. Tiger showed what a player he was in taking the Us Open. I am proud to be a fan of his and want my children to be like him when they grow up. It was an amazing display.
For the third time in a row, I tried to buy a Kroger gift card to give to one of my employees in appreciation for their hard work, and I could not get the dam card to work at the check out it took 20 minutes to get a 1 minute deal done, almost not worth the effort. I think next time I will give cash it spends just as well and no hassles.
