Stanley Cup

Thursday, May 29th, 2008

It sure seems like the Detroit Red Wings will win another Stanley Cup this year, keeping the cup in the Western Conference again this year and out of Canada. I am not a Red Wings fan but they sure have looked good in the playoffs this year, the switch to Chris Osgood in the playoffs has made all the difference in the world. I hope Pittsburgh can make it interesting, they are only down 2-1 it is not over yet.

Willie Update

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

The Willie Nelson concert this fall in Leipers Fork sold out in 4 hours, that is amazing. Many concerts here do not even sell out. This tells me that we really need an outdoor venue to hold concerts in. Which Nashville does not have since they destroyed Star Wood last year, they have a very small venue on the river bank but the traffic is so bad many avoid that area at all costs, plus the parking is so sparse downtown it makes a concert a nightmare.

End of Clinton

Saturday, May 17th, 2008

The rats are leaving the ship so to speak, the uncommitted super delegates are going over to Obama in droves. Clinton just needs to quit and help heal the Democratic party, which needs a lot of healing after this terse campaign if they do not get their office in order we will be having John McCain for president and they better get going on the healing sooner rather than later.

New tires

Thursday, May 15th, 2008

The Tahoe is in dire need of new tires on the front, I do not mind spending the money but almost every tire store in town has mad me angry and I refuse to do business with them. I was going to Firestone but the ripped me off, charged me $85 for an oil change and an air filter, I will never do business with Firestone again and will tell everyone I know how bad they ripped me off. The air filter cost $15 at the parts store that and an oil change do not add up to $85 as far as I am concerned. Stay away from Firestone they are trip off artists.

Gas Prices

Saturday, May 10th, 2008

Although still high gas prices have leveled off a bit at $3.37 near our home in Donelson I have seen it as high as $3.79 on Harding road. I have no fear that it will top out at or above $4.00 a gallon. I do not know if a new President will be able to fix this mess but I for one am ready for a new leader, maybe one with ideas about fixing this mess.
