More rain

It seems to rain every weekend and this weekend will not be any different. I know that we need the rain but I would like to have one weekend without rain or snow. Every time we make plans to go somewhere on a weekend the weather does not help us out at all. This weekend we had plans to go camping but with the rain and dropping temperatures we have decided to hold off for one more week, lets hope next weekend is better for camping, I can not wait I am ready for a nice weekend with no rain. I am ready to go spend some time at the lake.

It’s going to be a great year! I have been struggling to make through the end of last year, but this I have a feelling it will b ebetter for me, and eveeyone else in the country. Certainly it is time that things get better and we make it a brighter future. Here’s some cheers for 2010!

Well the darkest day in my life has arrived finally. I turn 50 today and I am sure not ready for the rocker just yet. I know that I can work rings around much younger guys and I will keep working as long as I am able to. No plans for today just going to stay home and enjoy my day off with my dogs and my great family. We are going to grill some steaks tonight and watch the first episode of one of my favorite show, The Amazing Race. I can not wait for tonight to get here.

Big loss

Today the Tennessee titans lost to the Houston Texans, it was a heartbreaking loss. I was on edge for the whole game. Our defense played as bad as the offense played good, it was a very tough game to try and watch, I was without a voice when it was over. Let us hope that the team can turn it around next week a 0-3 hole would be very tough to drag out of to make a run in the playoffs this year.

Bad day at Black Rock

Man was yesterday a bad sports day for me and my teams. Oklahoma State lost to Houston for gosh sakes and the Cards blew a late lead to lose to the Braves. The only one of my teams that played well was the Oklahoma Sooners and they did not have their great quarterback Sam Bradford. I have no grasp of how the season will fleash out but yesterday was a bad day for me and it can only get better, I hope at least it will get better.

Labor Day

Monday is Labor Day and like most years I have to work on this holiday. A lot of people have the extra day off and some times I wish I was one who got holidays off. It has been many many years since I had a paid holiday off and I guess it will be many more years before it happens again. When you work for yourself it is hard to get paid days off, when you do not work you do not get paid and not getting paid is not in my plans. I hope that everyone has a nice holiday.

Our grandson has joined a flag footballleague and I know that he is very small and fast but he loves football and it is good for him to get out with kids his own age outside of school. His team is pretty rag tag and will be needing practice shirts, I have found a great web site to get the team some new custom t-shirts, 123print t-shirts are perfect for this team of small boys to practice in, they are cost effective enough that having one or two torn up at practice is no big issue. The boy will be happy just to have nice t-shirts to wear to practice in. 123Print has a great stock of nice t-shirts and I feel good about being able to help the boys out with new t-shirts from 123Print.

Sick dog

One of our puppies is sick and we have to take him to the vet this morning. Crash is a very loving puppy and it hurts me a lot to see any of my dogs sick. They are more like children than pets and we treat them like that. We take them on rides in the country and give them all kinds of treats when they have been good dogs. I hope Crash is ok and we can get our lives back in order after his visit to the vet today.

Having played fantasy football for many, many years I found a great web site for fantasy football players, Waverwire.com has so much very useful information on their web site it is incredible. The fine folks who made this web site took the style of stock brokers with all the information available and turned it into a great fantasy football information web site.

Fantasy football draft analysis to fantasy football news is available on this very useful web site and I love the very useful information it provides for me to use when I am getting ready for my fantasy football draft. With 4 teams this year I will need all of the news and information available to make this the very best fantasy football season I have ever had.

The football season is almost here and I can not wait, one of my true joys in life is playing fantasy football and I feel like I will be ready this year with the assistance of Waver Wire and their fine web site. I really like the fantasy football forum, where I can talk and even rant and rave with other fantasy football owners, this is something that I have wanted to do but never had the forum available to make my feeling known to other fantasy football owners.

Where is the summer

It seems like we have not had a summer at all this year, and now it is almost time for the season to turn to the fall season, and I am not ready for the change. I love the spring and summer months but fall is by far the best of them all. I love when the leaves change and the nights get cool. Football is right around the corner and that is a very good thing. The downside is it is also the cold and flu season and I am not ready for that junk for sure.
