The baseball playoffs are set to begin today, hockey season is about to begin their regular season, football is at the quarter pole, NASCAR is in their playoff run. The world is spinning nicely for the sports fan. Life is good when almost every night you can catch an important race or game on TV or go down to the arena and see a game in person. Sports is much better live than on TV. I was never a hockey fan until I went to a Predators game live, we sat at the very top of the building and I loved every minute of it and have been a huge hockey fan ever since. Football is still number one in my books but the lights they see in their rear view mirror is hockey coming on strong.

It is almost time to get football season underway and I can not wait, it is my favorite time of the year and signals that fall is just around the corner. The time from the Super Bowl to the start of the next football season is a time when men across America get depressed and their honey-do lists grow and keep them very busy. Football will help the men of America get the couch time they need and deserve. It looks like a great season for my team the Tennessee Titans and I can not wait to get the game going very soon.

It sure seems like the Detroit Red Wings will win another Stanley Cup this year, keeping the cup in the Western Conference again this year and out of Canada. I am not a Red Wings fan but they sure have looked good in the playoffs this year, the switch to Chris Osgood in the playoffs has made all the difference in the world. I hope Pittsburgh can make it interesting, they are only down 2-1 it is not over yet.
