Family vacation

Sunday, August 2nd, 2009

It is only a couple of weeks until school starts again. I can not believe that this summer is almost gone already, well in school kids terms school is almost over for the year. Before the kids go back to school we have planned a quick trip to the Radio Disney Concert Series that will be held in Wildwood New Jersey at Morey’s Pier this summer. This Wildwood vacation will be a lot of fun for the grand kids and the the adults as well. The Disney Concert Series is one that we have watched for several years now and have really enjoyed at the same time. We have planned to include a fun filled day at one of the great New Jersey Water Parks, this is a great place for a Wildwood Vacation and the great website for Morey’s Pier is the place to find hotels & motels in Wildwood New Jersey.

Pop King dies

Friday, June 26th, 2009

When I got home from work yesterday I was shocked to see the king of pop had passed away. Michael Jackson has never been one of my musical idols but his passing at the young age of 50 was very shocking. The world will be a worse place today with Michael Jackson how has made many people happy with his music, like I said I am not a fan but I too will miss him. God must of needed a new singer today.

New Cd

Sunday, August 17th, 2008

This week I have done something that I never do, that is to buy new music. I have ordered a couple of new CD’s without hearing them first, that is something I never do, I have gotten junk to many times to ever want to buy a big in the poke so to speak. I always try to hear a CD before I go ahead and order it when it first comes out to the market. I like to wait until the newness has worn off to get my music. I hope the new Kid Rock and Tom Petty are good is all I can say.

Big concerts this year

Sunday, August 10th, 2008

Boy the last couple of month this year there are some huge concerts planned for here in Nashville, including the Eagles and Bruce Springsteen, those two alone make a year for many venues. There is a lot of live music to enjoy here in Music City, a lot of it is new performers trying to make a name for themselves, and that makes for some very exciting opening acts, and do not forget that the thrill of the walk on guest is pretty high here too, you never know who will be in town recording. At a Don Williams concert a few years ago they announced there would be a special act and out walked Keith Urban and he did an acoustic set that was outstanding.

Big concert

Saturday, July 5th, 2008

Saturday night a huge concert was held at the LP Field, Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban headlined the show which also featured Gary Allen and others. 49,000 people attended what a nightmare that must of been for parking and getting home after the show. The parking and crowded streets is why we never go downtown any more. Nashville needs to make some parking for people who do want to go downtown and spend their money there. As it is now you can not get there with out paying a high price or walking a long way.
